Out
of preference or perceived economy, some people are ditching SUVs for
sedans, pickup trucks, or other types of vehicles. This post will not
go over the reasons why people avoid SUVs; instead, this post will
focus on why you shouldn’t pass on them.
They’re
efficient carriers – Whether
you’re looking to haul your cargo or your big family, an SUV is the
most logical choice. For instance, having a family of seven
essentially requires a roomier SUV than a cramped Prius to get them
safely and comfortably from point A to point B without taking
multiple trips back and forth.
They’re
versatile – SUVs
are designed for rugged jobs. If you need to drive through heavy
snow, rain, or any other inclement weather, an SUV can provide you
with enough power to traverse snow, minor floods, and navigate
obstacles much easier than a sedan.
They’re
safer – The
premise here is simple. If you pit a smaller car, say, a 2,337-lb.
Chevy Spark, against an almost 6,000-lb. Chevy Suburban, the Spark
obviously wouldn’t stand a chance in a head-on collision despite
its wide array of safety features. In short, an SUV is much more
solidly built, allowing for better collision resistance.
SUVs
may not get that much love, but their inherent capabilities make them
indispensable vehicles to anyone requiring more power, efficiency,
and better overall safety.
